untitled
there is no fitting title for this one....i could have said "saddest day of my life" or "the great end", but i don't think either of those titles are fitting because neither would make sense....
so now that we have off i really don't know what to do with myself....i just basically chill at my house all day until i find a job for the summer which will probably be tues. or wed. of next week...today really i just did a few little things around the house to help my mom cuz i think she broke her ankle but she won't go to the hospital so really i don't think that we'll ever know....before anything i'd like to give props to bradburn on his play of what i'd consider a perfect sitngo last night which garnered a win, vgg....anyways, tonight was commencements...ahh don't get me started, i'm not much of a crying person, but whenever bethanne and i were talking about all the great times we've had beforehand, i kinda started to cry a little(i won't lie)....so commencements went smoothly, we got the diploma, i shook hands with everyone i knew b/c this is the last time i'll see most of them until a 5 or 10 year reunion....afterwards. i saw ppl and then went out to eat with my family at duke's station which proved to be quite good for the money....
a few side notes...
first one goes to my best friend, bethanne....seriously, im not gonna spoil the letter or anything, but real quick...i'm not sure what i'm going to do without you and maura next year...you're an awesome person and don't let anyone else tell you different....i don't know about you, but i had just an absolutely excellent time since we started talking again in october(i think?)....from all the absolutely stupid to serious things, this year has been perfect...seeing and talking to you today i was like, wow, we really did have a lot of excellent memories from this year and some from last year lol....well i'll give you the letter tomorrow....and don't forget, we're gonna have a great summer and fun next year....i love you so much
congratulations to class of 2005....i wish everyone the best as in most cases i'll never be seeing you again....but good luck anyways lol
finally, i hope to see everyone at the 50 dollar game on monday at gerners....if you need the link, just IM me at Mrhmrh102 and I can hook you up...
i leave you with only the words of robert herrick, it just happens to be one of my favorite selections
To Make the Most of Time
by Robert Herrick
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles to-day
To-morrow will be dying.
The glorious lamp of heaven, the sun,
The higher he's a-getting,
The sooner will his race be run,
And nearer he's to setting.
That age is best which is the first,
When youth and blood are warmer;
But being spent, the worse, and worst
Times still succeed the former.
Then be not coy, but use your time,
And while ye may, go marry:
For having lost but once your prime,
You may for ever tarry.
