just a kid on tilt

this is going to be a long post. I just thought that I'd fairly warn everyone before they started reading, because if you don't like long posts, I'd advise you to stop reading my blog right now and never come back

friday- had class until 3 which was pretty boring, but it was at least something to do....then listened to the mark curcio radio show while playing pool in the pool room(coincedence?) from 3-5...if you're interested in the show, go http://www.freewebs.com/markcurcioradioshow for info on how you can listen to the show...afterwards, mark and i went out to kings and met up with some of his other buddies that were cool...it kinda reminded me of chilling with justov, ferg, kazour, mexican, booter, bradburn, or zack-O during hs....same brand of kids, just different names...after kings, we went over to some kid's house(forget the name) and played cards and watched the penguin game. It was a 5$ cash table and I was just basically just messing around the whole time. I hit trip queens on the second hand which boosted my stack to almost 10$, but then I was calling dollar rereaises with 94 suited and I went allin for my last 2.50$ with 9-2 off...i was just trying to double down.....heh, anyways, I drove home and talked to anna for awhile before calling it a night

saturday- woke up super early for me(8 am) to gallavant(which is a pretty cool word btw) to work...basically after making the free popcorn for the kiddies at 10 am, I almost cleaned out 1/3 of the loft by bringing down christmas boxes. As exciting as that sounds, it's early October and the ceiling in the loft is no higher than 3 feet and there are electrical boxes and light bulbs sticking out of everywhere....in the words of chris "cassidy" cass: "I must have lost 5 billion brain cells up there." How true brother, how true. Afterwards I did my traditional saturday night thing when I have to watch my brother while my parents go drink, that would be to watch the WPT from 6-10....alright, so I get bored and do something else after an hour, but that's always the plan. I think I started my stats homework and then talked to anna and went to bed.

sunday- once again, I had to wake up early(9 am this time) to go to work...the day wasn't bad except for the chapons like work(real hard, makes you want to kill the person in charge....ferg could tell you about it if I'm not explaining it correctly). However, I got to work with someone else for a change so it wasn't that bad. I found out that mindy is pretty interesting and definitely makes for good work conversation. We talked about her adventures at the hookah bar and mine at late night poker. It at least made the pain of bringing down all the shit from the loft somewhat exciting. After work, I chilled at home for awhile and then wrote my case study for psychology(or maybe that was thursday night) but anyways I did some type of homework

yesterday- school is long, and it is a bitch. It was the long day and the watching of LOTR in comm kinda did save two hours of my day, but still. During the break I chilled and played pool. After class went to christina's for the steeler game and it was a pretty good time. This kid that mark called harold was there and he was an awesome dude...the game was fun, it was cool to see mark and christina together, i think it's a good situation for both of them...the game got really tight at the end, but my man jeff reed kicked the game winner. I left at about 1 and crashed after getting home at 130.

today- woke up in a kind of pissed off mood. It was just one of those days where nothing could go right. I had to drive all the way out to mckeesport to get a stupid piece of paper and on the way out of the parking lot I wasn't paying attention and hit the curb. The FUCKING CURB...you have to be a dumbass to hit the curb. So I came home and watched my IQ decrease as I watched MTV and ESPN and then went to coach at bowling practice. That was kinda fun, it always is. I helped out little bradburn and this dan kid who could be good someday in the future. Talking with jesse, brian, no 200 neeeero, bethanne, maura, n00b, and wholer just reminds of the days that once were. I definitely want to stay and coach at least this year, because it is good experience with working with high school kids and the commrodary(sp?) is good...work was alright, afterwards I came home and watched the main event with my dad...what a tough beat harman took on that straight flush, gg....after I tried to write my paper, but I continuously felt like punching something(don't worry, I restrained) and I tried the anti-tilt music, but that didn't work....so I started blogging in an attempt to get ready to write my paper...yes, it is going to suck, but I don't care at all....sobeit

poetry is my poem i chose for african lit.....enjoy

Omen
By: Birago Diop

A naked sun- a yellow sun-
The pure yellow sun of hasty dawns
Pours waves of gold upon the bank
Of a pure yellow river

A naked sun-a white sun-
A sun naked and white
Pours waves of silver
Upon a white, white river

A naked sun- a red sun
A sun naked and red
Pours waves of red blood
On a red, red, river.
